This place is the absolute best breakfast diner experience my wife and I have ever had! And that is even compared to the great diners back in Jersey. Everything was phenomenal! Can't wait to get back to try the rest of the menu and for lunch.

After heading to the farmers market we need to refuel. Maes was close and open. Wow we're we surprised!
We got two coffees, avocado bennie, and the fried chicken breakfast.
The potatoes were flavorful and fresh. My poached eggs were perfection and the little kick of the tomato salsa balanced perfect. My main squeeze let me have some of the jalapeño bread yummy. The country gray flavorful and not too heavy.
We left full happy and a coffee to go. -

Ran up to the county building early one Friday and was hungry for breakfast after my meeting. Jumped on Yelp and it lead me here.
I walked in and was greeted quickly by a friendly young woman with a smile and an explanation of how it works here (diner style, order at counter, then sit).
Ordered the corned beef hash and a pancake with a coffee.
The cornbeef was seasoned perfectly. The red skins were soft and tasty but could have used some more grill time. Most cornbeef dishes are mainly spuds and onions and light on the corned beef, but not this dish! I'd guess it was 70% corned beef and delish! Also the eggs were nicely poached and went great with the dish.
The pancake was thick and fluffy, came with cinnamon butter and hot syrup. Ahhhhh-mazing.
Glad I listened to Yelp on this one. Will come back again!
Also the music was great when I was in there. (Goldy oldies) -

I got take out from here for lunch today. It was an amazing treat in the middle of my workday. First off the presentation was unexpectedly cute. I am used to traditional Styrofoam container, these were cute waxed boxes.
I ordered the chicken sandwich with the side salad. The chicken was a large piece and you can tell it was hand battered and fried. The house made come slaw was everything. Added nice tang to the sandwich and balance the fried chicken. The bun was perfect, not to big.
The salad was a very nice surprise of special treats in there. Feta, crispy chick peas, I think it was sweet potato fried strips and Nice vinaigrette.
This is a place I will go back for sure. They take those regular lunch menu items and kick them up a notch. -

Really wanted to try this place today but as I tried to place an order, I was told the grill was closed. Apparently if you want a sandwich 15 minutes before they close you are out of luck. Bummer wish it was the "olden" days, when people really wanted to service a customer, now we're just an inconvenience.
